Is Nova actually free?+
Yes. Nova runs entirely on free-tier APIs from Groq, Mistral, and Google. We don't charge you and we don't add usage caps — the only limits are the providers' own rate limits.
Do I need my own API keys?+
No. Keys are configured once on the server. You just sign up and start chatting.
What can Nova do?+
Chat, write and explain code, reason through hard problems, analyze images, translate, and more — each routed to the model that's best at it.
Privacy & data
Where is my chat history stored?+
Locally, in your browser. Nothing is written to a server database, so your conversations stay on your device.
Do you train on my conversations?+
No. Nova doesn't collect or train on your chats. Messages are sent to the provider only to generate a reply.
Can I delete my data?+
Clear a conversation in the sidebar, or clear your browser storage to wipe everything instantly.
Models & routing
Can I choose the model myself?+
Absolutely. Auto-routing is the default, but a picker lets you force any of the seven models per chat.
Which model handles images?+
Gemini 2.5 Flash and Llama 4 Scout. Attach an image and Nova routes to one automatically.
What if a model is rate-limited?+
Free tiers have limits. If one provider is busy, switch models from the picker and retry — others stay available.
